GOD’S WORD FOR DECEMBER 3

GOD’S WORD FOR DECEMBER 3 ~ ~ Job 33:4~ ~ “The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me life.”

It’s dark 24 hours/day for 10 months of the year in Greenland. The coldest recorded temperature was -88 F, and the average temperature in winter is -53 with no sunshine. But in the warm months of July and August, the average temperature is a balmy +12 F

Polar bears call Greenland home, but can easily swim 200 miles, and they do swim back and forth to the mainlands on the east and west of the island of Greenland. Being powerful swimmers, they also have webbed feet on their front paws for even more speed, and their 3” of blubber also helps them float.

They can run on the snow and ice at a speed of 18 mph and stop quickly without slipping, because they have very thick fur on the bottom of their feet for insulation. But that fur is a special tread. It is laying backwards of other animals’ foot hair, so that if they would slip, the rub would be against the hairs, the hairs would stand up, and provide very effective friction tread for stopping!!!

They never get cold because of two main things: They have 3” of blubber all over their body, just under their skin. This is a perfect insulator, keeping virtually all of their body heat inside their black skin. Black skin is much warmer than light skin. In fact, they are so perfectly insulated, that when scientists wanted to count their population using helicopters and cameras with infrared film, even though they knew the bears were there, NONE of them showed up on the film. All other animals did, but not one polar bear! They lose no body heat!

With their extra large feet (even larger than other bears) they can walk on top of the snow and stalk all the food they want. If the weather turns extra cold for an extended length of time, and their food

animals aren’t moving around, a polar bear can live for up to a month on his blubber.

He’s certainly engineered and built exactly for his life. Only an omnicient Creator could think of all these things!!!

And speaking of being created for environments, if you are saved, meaning if you have acknowledged Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will have a resurrected body that’s perfectly suited for your eternity. It’s dual purpose will be just as at home in heaven, the Throne Room of God, as on the new earth, which will be like the Garden of Eden. It’ll be perfect, with animals, plants, the beautiful River of Life, and, of course, Our Lord Jesus will be with us every moment.

Isn’t that a blessed promise? Isn’t it a wonderful future forever? Have you paved the way to live that way by your decision for Christ?

Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Psalm 33:4-5

For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

He loves righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
