ISAIAH, CHAPTER 30, VS 18-22

ISAIAH, CHAPTER 30, VS 18-22

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 30, VS 18

“18 And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.”

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 30, VS 18

v. 18– But God is always waiting for us to come to Him. The word for “have mercy” is a powerful word! It means, caress, to soothe, to cherish, to love deeply. We can’t imagine how deeply God loves us. It is a love we can’t produce or experience of ourselves without experiencing it from Him. Once we know that, we will trust Him totally.  But we can’t discern it ourselves, so we must submit ourselves to Him and ask Him to show us these things in our spirits.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 30, VS 19

“9 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.”

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 30, VS 19

v. 19– He is waiting for us to turn to Him and He will answer with His wonderful Agape Love! 1 Corinthians 2:9

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him”.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 30, VS 20

“20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:”

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 30, VS 20

v. 20– And though adversities come into our lives, we will see these things for what they are–teachers–our trials are teachers to make us turn to God and praise Him for everything He does for us. We shouldn’t “push them into the corner”, but use them to strengthen our faith and further our communication with God.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 30, VS 21

21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 30, VS 21

21—Then, we will hear His direction in our spirit, and He will guide us in every detail of our lives.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 30, VS 22

“ Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.”

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 30, VS 22

22– The things of this life will become less important as we experience the Glory of God and keep our eyes on Him. Our worldly idols we will cast out of our hearts, as we cast filthy garbage out.
