ISAIAH, CHAPTER 5, VS 1-4

ISAIAH CHAPTER 5, VS 1-4

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 5, VS 1-3

1.Now will I sing to my well beloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 1-3

v. 1-3– God made mankind, then sent His beloved Son to save us.

Jesus conquered Satan for us. In fact, He lived each of our lives for us. In the Garden, He sweat blood, and was in agony because He, God Almighty, became you and me. He lived my life–not as He would live it, or as it should be lived, but as I live it, and He saw my problems just as I see them–in my weakness and sinfulness.

Then He went to the cross and to Hell for my sins and to satan, and He conquered satan. So we have conquered all through Him.

Now we must ask Him to live our lives again. This time He lives it with us and helps us through all that He’s already lived for us once and conquered

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 5, VS 4

4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 4

v. 4– What more, God asks, could He do for us? But still people aren’t grateful to Him and still think they’re responsible for their successes, and living in this world as if it were their final destiny. God’s people, living with the idols of the world, sowing “wild grapes” and ignoring The Holy Spirit’s calling to come to know Jesus in a closer, more pure and Sensitive way.

 

 

ISAIAH CHAPTER 4

ISAIAH CHAPTER 4

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 4, VS 1

1.And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 4, VS 1

  1. 1– The leaders of the various denominations will try to win the Christians again, saying, (although not in so many words) “you don’t have to really believe, just belong to our church so others will follow”.They will combine religions….defying the One True Christian Church, the Body of Christ, and turning to carnal, unsaved, teachings.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 4, VS 2

2 In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 4, VS 2

v. 2– The “branch” referred to here is His chosen people. His Spirit-filled Christians who, as Paul says, were grafted in place with the Jews. We will live guided by God’s Love and peace, and He will give us the fruits of the Spirit (See Romans 11: 17).

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 4, VS 3

3 Those who are left in Zion, who remain in Jerusalem, will be called holy, all who are recorded among the living in Jerusalem.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 4, VS 3

  1. 3– And those of His people who remain true to Him alone through this world, and through the Great Tribulation will be called Holy.(Rev. 7:14)

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 4, VS 4

 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 4, VS 4

v. 4– He will cleanse the churches of the influence of Satan and will make us one church with each person following the Lord, not men, and we will be one in Spirit.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 4, VS 5-6 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defense.

6.And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 4, VS 5-6

v. 5– The cloud of smoke and fire is with us now to guide us. It is the Holy Spirit that dwells within us, and is our guide, defender, counselor, lover,–everything we need.

v. 6– The tabernacle is Jesus. We rest in Him and He shelters us through the storms of life, and guides us through them, as He brings us closer to Him with the experiences, and gives strength and love to get through them as we lean on Him. See Ezek. 36:25-30 and 8-11; also Jeremiah 32:38-41 and 31:31-35 and (New Covenant) Ezek 37:26-28.

ISAIAH, CHAPTER 3, VS 17-26

ISAIAH, CHAPTER 3, VS 17-26

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 17-18

17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the

Lord will discover their secret parts.

18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 17-18
17-18– Cauls are hairnets–this represents churches and people — individually who are afraid to really let the Holy Sprit move in their lives, and let go to feel the joy and freedom of truly living for Christ. Their “round tires like the moon” make them go in circles and not grow in their relationship to Christ.

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 19

19 The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 19

  1. 19– Chains, bracelets and mufflers–this represents the people and churches who tend to cover up with rituals, or Christian talk, but underneath they have not a true heart for the Lord.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 20

20 The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 20

  1. 20– Bonnets, headbands represent listening to others instead of the Lord. Church leaders telling the people what to think instead of encouraging them to go to the Lord themselves with everything. We should all fellowship together, and exchange our thoughts, and listen to ideas from pastors, etc., but the final decision has to be within ourselves, listening to the voice of the Lord within each of us, and the Written Word. The ornaments of the legs refers to slowing ourselves down in our walk with The Lord, and not being bold enough to speak out what He tells us. The earrings represent listening to what others say about us, instead of what Jesus wants from us, as well as listening to the “logic” of the world. We should strive to be loving and please others. This is important, but if they disapprove of us because they don’t understand the ways of the Spirit, we are to follow the True Voice—as long as we have TRULY repented before The Lord and Know FOR SURE that what we are doing is Biblical and True.

SCRIPTURE CHAPTER 3, VS 21

21 The rings, and nose jewels,

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 21

21– Depending on the society, rings on the finger or in the nose establish ownership or loyalty to someone or something. He does not want us so loyal to an individual denomination that we stifle our ability to hear His Voice.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 22

22 The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 22

Iv. 22– Changeable suits of apparel refers to being so shallow in our beliefs that we change with the times, fads, opinions of those we’re with, etc.–although God doesn’t want us to argue over church doctrine or details, but to question if it is for us individually to believe, and stand firm on what He tells us through the Spirit. All our beliefs, however, MUST line up with the Word of God.

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 23

23 The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the veils.

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 23

v. 23– Hoods and veils hinder the person’s sight–this refers to

closing one’s eyes to hearing God’s real Word, in our lives, and

believing that He really will guide us in our whole life. Sometimes we only let Him into part of our lives, and close our eyes to Him in the other areas. He requires us to be open to Him in every detail of our lives.

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 24-26

24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.

26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 24-26
24-26– And when the Spirit of God comes in His fullness, people will see how they’re in bondage to themselves or their churches, where every “hair” was in place, and the pews full, and the people in perfect ritualistic discipline, there will be no one, and instead of the girdle (belt) of rules keeping everyone in line, there will be “rips” as each person is guided by the Spirit of the Lord and not by them, and people will see the organization of the church for how shallow it really is without the leading of the Spirit. The real beauty is in a personal relationship with Jesus.

ISAIAH CHAPTER 3, VS 8-16

ISAIAH CHAPTER 3, VS 8-16

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 8

8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 8

. 8– People are and will be turning against us, God’s people. People who are blinded to the real Christ, will provoke us–the “eyes of His Glory”. Jesus said in His prayer before His crucifixion that we are His Glory (John 17:10 says “I am glorified in them”. If He is glorified in us through the Holy Spirit, we are the vessels of His glory, IF we are totally obedient and submitted to His will).

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 9

9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 9

v. 9– These people don’t hide their beliefs because they’ve been blinded and don’t know they’re wrong.  They’ve been blinded by evil because they have turned against the Lord.

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 10-11

10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 10-11

10– God will take care of His children, and we will eat the fruit of our obedience to His Word.

  1. 11– But Satan will be punished for the evil things he has done and for those he has turned from God, in his deception.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 12

12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 12

  1. 12– As for us, His people, we are led by the Spirit. Those who are truly children of God—no matter what their position in this world—will lead. Our non-believing leaders will try to lead us astray from the True Path of following our own individual lives led by Jesus. If we keep our eyes on Jesus, and humbly stay before His Face in repentance, He will keep us strong.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 13-15

13 The Lord standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.

14 The Lord will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.

15 What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord God of hosts.

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 13-15

  1. 13-15– The Lord will purge the societies and churches of leaders who take for themselves without putting the people first and following God’s lead. (See Jeremiah 10:21 and 23:1 & 2) in the end.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 16

16 Moreover the Lord saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:

 

 

ISAIAH CHAPTER 3, VS 1-7

ISAIAH CHAPTER 3

SCRIPTURE:CHAPTER 3, VS 1-3

1.For, behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water.

2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,

3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 1-3

v. 1-3– The people who the world thinks of as powerful, rich, happy,–the rulers of nations and of groups of people–even some church leaders–will be humbled, brought down, to show what’s really in their hearts. (See Jeremiah 4:9 and 5:5)

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 4-5

4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

 

Application:

4—The least shall be the greatest, the last, first. (see Matthew 19:30 and 20:16; Mark 9:35 and 10:31; Luke 13:30…all where Jesus is saying that “the last shall be first, and the first, last”)the Holy spirit speaks to the humble, to children and child-like people. Some church leaders will be surprised when the Lord shows them that they have become friends of the world, and have lost their friendship with the Lord.

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 5

5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 5

v. 5– In the future, and we see it now, as the Spirit of God moves through the world, that people are drawn closer to God by The Holy Spirit, or are drawn away. As this happens, there is more and more division–Jesus said this in Matthew 24:40& 41–We never know “on which the Holy Spirit will next bestow His Gifts” He also said in Luke 12:51 “Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay, but rather division.”

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 6

6 When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:

 

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 6

 6– And when the Spirit and Power of God does move, those people will say “It’s our rulers fault–the church, or our families, said to do this ..” They try to “pass the buck” instead of looking into their own hearts and see where they stand with God.

 

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 7

7 In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 7

7– And the leaders, who have themselves been deceived by satan, and who have been leading the people astray will not want the responsibility either.
