ISAIAH, CHAPTER 33, VS 10-18

ISAIAH, CHAPTER 33, VS 10-18

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 33, VS 10-14

10 Now will I rise, saith the Lord; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.

11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.

12 And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.

13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.

14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 33, VS 10-14

Now we lift up Jesus and exalt Him for His victory!!11-14– These verses are verifying the total victory over Satan!

Satan’s lies are chaff, and people who follow him are stubble, and will burn as stubble and lime. He is describing what will happen to those who follow the wrong path.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 33, VS 15-16

15” He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.”

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 33, VS 15-16

v. 15– Those who clothe themselves with the righteousness of Christ—

16– — Shall dwell with The Lord, and be fed by His Word, and our defense is by the Rock given us (When Peter got his first revelation, Jesus said “You are Peter (Stone) and upon this rock I will build my church”–the Rock being, of course, Jesus.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 33, VS 17-18

17” Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

18 Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 33, VS 17-18

17– We see God in this life, when we seek Him, and see Him, we catch a glimpse of heaven.

18– Our hearts, minds, will feel fear, because we are weak, but we must think spiritually, and say–show me what I really need to see–show me Satan’s towers. They are non-existant because he has been defeated!!! When we abide in Christ, as we are told to do, we have His

Strength, not our own.
