GOD’S WORD FOR JULY 7

Hosea 6:3 (Amp) “So let us know and become personally acquainted with Him; let us press on to know and understand fully the [greatness of the] Lord [to honor, heed, and deeply cherish Him].
His appearing is prepared and is as certain as the dawn,
And He will come to us [in salvation] like the [heavy] rain,
Like the spring rain watering the earth.” We praise You Jesus and thank You, looking forward and looking up for Your second coming to earth, to rid this sick and sorrowful world of evil once and for all. We cannot imagine how wonderful it will be, to be with You face to face!!!! Please make Yourself known to us more and more each day, as we look to You, the Author and finisher of our faith. Glory and Honor to You forever!!!

GOD’S WORD FOR JULY 6

John 10:10 (Amp) Jesus said:“ The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].” The Lord wants us to be joyful in our lives, because of our salvation. We have an extremely bright future with Him in the new heavens and the new earth, and we have His presence with us and in us in this life. The unsaved don’t have those things, they have only the evil world around them. We can get through anything in the power of God within us. “greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (satan)” Lord, please help us to remember these things when the thief (demonic forces) come to steal our joy. Help us to remember where we will live forever. We praise You for salvation !!!!

GOD’S WORD FOR JULY 5

Colossians 3:17 (Amp)

 “Whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus [and in dependence on Him], giving thanks to God the Father through Him” As Christians, we are living for Christ in all things. This means literally ALL things. When the Word says things like “whatever you do”, it doesn’t leave any room for exceptions, like we do when we speak. God says what He means, and means what He says. So, whatever we do, even small, tedious jobs, we are commanded to do in dependence on Jesus, knowing He is our life, light, and Lord., and do them thankfully. This is the same mindset as what Paul, through the Holy Spirit, says in Colossians 3:23-24 (Amp) “ Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve.”

Thank You, Lord, that You remind us of these things to keep connected to You, and to glorify You for Your Presence in even the menial tasks of our lives. We are never to work to please men, but only You. Please continue to remind us. In Your wonderful name, we ask these things. Amen

GOD’S WORD FOR JULY 4

Isaiah 66:13 (Amp) “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you;
And you will be comforted in Jerusalem.” Thank You Lord God for the comfort that is always available for us. It goes with the peace that passes understanding. We know we are saved and will live with You eternally. No matter what we have to go through here, You are always with us and comforting us. We have our own personal relationship with You that will go with us for eternity long after this world is gone. Praise You forever!!!

GOD’S WORD FOR JULY 3

Romans 6:11 (Amp) “ Even so, consider yourselves to be dead to sin [and your relationship to it broken], but alive to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus.” When we accept the sacrifice of Jesus, and agree to His substitutionary death for our punishment, our dead spirits come alive and are connected with the Holy Spirit. We are forgiven of all our sins, and our sin nature that we inherited from Adam is replaced with the perfect nature of Jesus Christ. We no longer live to sin, but we live for Christ and in Him. We still sin because we are still in the body, but it shouldn’t be a habit anymore. We need to confess each sin to God and repent of it, asking for strength to not do it again. We can communicate with God and receive strength to stay away from living for sin. We thank You, Lord, for taking us out of the pit we were in. You said that even thinking negative about someone is a sin, so we sinned many times. Thank you for forgiveness and for the unbroken fellowship with You!!! We praise You forever.

GOD’S WORD FOR JULY1

IPeter 2:2-4 (Amp)“Like newborn babies [you should] long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may be nurtured and grow in respect to salvation [its ultimate fulfillment], if in fact you have [already] tasted the goodness and gracious kindness of the Lord.” The Holy Spirit through Peter is speaking to new Christians. That’s what He means by “If in fact you have tasted the goodness and gracious kindness of the Lord”, meaning His kindness in giving Jesus as a sacrifice. After salvation, one of the first signs is that we crave the Word of God, as a baby craves milk. We need to feed ourselves spiritually as a baby is fed physically or we will weaken and be drawn away by deception. We need milk, and then meat, to have the ultimate fulfillment of Salvation. (Hebrews 5:12) Please, Lord, send the right people to the needy and hungry ones, to show them how to go to You in humility, and how to study Your Word in order to get to that ultimate fulfillment. Please put Bibles in the hands of new Christians to satisfy their hunger, and to have them hear the voice of Your Holy Spirit to understand the milk, and move on to he meat of the gospel. Thank You and we Praise You for every step of the process of growing in You. Help all of us , both new, or more mature, have a great desire for Your Word. We thank You for Your Word readily available.
