GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 8 ~ ~ John 8:12~ ~ “ Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

Oh! for one of those perfect summer nights, sitting outside and watching the fireflies and the stars above!!!

Seems like a ways off, but it’ll come in God’s time. We’re told in the Word that until the end of this world, seasons and time will remain.

Genesis 8:22

“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter and day and night shall not cease.”

But do you know what those little light-flickering buggers are saying while you sit and sip your liquid pleasure on your lawn chair?

There have been studies to “enlighten” us on just what those conversations are about.

There are over 200 species of fireflies, and each has it’s own language, emitted through a code of light flashes. They are done with varying series of color, intensity, and length and spacing of flashes. It’s very complicated, with over 200 separate languages, all in the same area on any given night!

It’s actually a lot of flirting—–the males are “cruising the streets”, emitting a given constant invitation in his specific language, and waiting for a response from a female of his species.

Sometimes the females will emit a “not on your life, buddy”, message, and sometimes it’s a positive acceptance. At this time, the male will find her and come closer to investigate the situation.

To us, this looks and seems extremely chaotic, with hundreds or even thousands of variations of 200 species randomly flying and “talking”. But to them, having been created for this very thing, for the perpetuation of their species, it is simply life.

But it’s not exactly all that routine all the time, either. The girls can be a bit nasty sometimes. Maybe some individuals are secret agents of another species. At any rate, they somehow can discern the language of another species!!! Sometimes a female will give a male from a different species the “yes” message, then when he comes near, she’ll kill him and eat him!

They tell us that we can experiment with entering the conversations in the air with a cloth over a flashlight with just a pinhole in the cloth. There’s a project to try if you lead a boring life!

But it’s better, in the long run, to spend our time conversing with the Creator of these and all the magnificent animals and plants on this planet. But most importantly, our Redeemer. He’s waiting to hear from you!!!! Here are just a few of the benefits:

Matthew 28:20 ~ ~ “…follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Psalm 37:4

“Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.”

Isaiah 25:8

“He will swallow up death for all time, And the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces, And He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth; For the Lord has spoken.”

Isaiah 66:22

“For just as the new heavens and the new earth, Which I make, will endure before Me,” declares the Lord, “So will your descendants and your name endure.

Psalm 2:12

“Kiss the Son, that He not be angry and you perish on the way, For His wrath may be kindled quickly. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!”

Psalm 5:11

“But rejoice, all who take refuge in You, Sing for joy forever! And may You shelter them, That those who love Your name may rejoice in You.”

Realize that no one is perfect, and cannot get to heaven by his own record. Ask Him to forgive your sins because of the sacrifice on the cross offered by Jesus Christ, then live in gratitude for what He has done.

Revelation 3:20~ ~ “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me”.

OPEN THE DOOR,…WIDE….. YOU’LL BE GLAD YOU DID—–FOREVER!!!

GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 7 ~ ~ James 3:10 Amp ~ ~ “Out of the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. These things, my brothers, should not be this way [for we have a moral obligation to speak in a manner that reflects our fear of God and profound respect for His precepts].”

Whales have accents. Killer whales have dialects, or accents. They have 17 different calls, that are unique to their particular group within their species, sort of like our northern and southern accents.

Some killer whales stay in the same area for all of their lives. They go peacefully up and down the west coast eating small fish. They get along peacefully with the harbor seals that live among them.

Other killer whales form groups that cruise up and down the same coast, with much more aggression. These gangs are not satisfied with fish, and they particularly like the harbor seals.

Researchers have recorded the calls of both groups and have noted that the calls of each group have differing qualities, which amount to differing dialects. They also found that harbor seals recognize this difference too, since the seals, unlike fish, can hear the calls. They ignore the calls of local fish-eating whales, but when a killer gang appears in their neighborhood, the seals leave the area rather quickly.

The ability to communicate and interpret communication are gifts from God, not just to us humans but clearly also to His other creatures, since birds are also known to have dialects relating to areas they inhabit. Since we aren’t alert to these differences, we don’t realize this, but many things that are true of communication in humans, are also true in animals.

No accents or dialects are better or worse than any other, but our speech itself is important in our spiritual walk. In fact, it relates our attitudes and our spiritual walk to others around us.

It harms relationships, hurts other people, and grieves the Holy Spirit in our own relationship with Jesus.

It can lead people astray, especially the young, and give them lasting fears or grievances.

It can give a spirit of liberality to others and cause them to sin.

As James says:

James 1:19 (Amp)

“Understand this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Let everyone be quick to hear [be a careful, thoughtful listener],slow to speak [a speaker of carefully chosen words and], slow to anger [patient, reflective, forgiving];”

James 3:8

“… no one can tame the human tongue; it is a restless evil [undisciplined, unstable], full of deadly poison”

Ephesians 4:29

“Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak].”

James 3:4-5

 “And look at the ships. Even though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are still directed by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the helmsman determines.

In the same sense, the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See [by comparison] how great a forest is set on fire by a small spark!”

James 3:6

And the tongue is [in a sense] a fire, the very world of injustice and unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our members as that which contaminates the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life [the cycle of man’s existence], and is itself set on fire by hell (Gehenna).

GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 6 ~ ~Genesis 1:30 ~ ~ “ I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so .”

Many of us have peonies in our yards. This flower is actually an herb. In fact, the ancient Greeks called it the “Queen of Herbs”

The peonies with which most of us are familiar are highly developed hybrids. They come in many beautiful colors. Greece, as well as much of the rest of the world’s temperate zone, offers many species of wild peony.

It gets its name from the Greek god, Paeon. In the legendary story, Paeon was a follower of the unnamed Greek god of medicine.

According to the myth, Paeon used the healing properties of this herb to heal Pluto, (who was worshiped as lord of the subterranean underworld) after he was injured in the Trojan War.

As the legend goes on, this made the Greek god of medicine jealous, and he wanted to kill Paeon. To save Paeon’s life, says the legend, Pluto changed Paeon into a peony plant.

According to medicinal encyclopedias dating back as far as the first century A.D., the peony was thought to offer a cure for lunacy and epilepsy. Peony roots were said to offer medication for kidney and bladder problems, and abdominal pains. The seeds were said to be effective against nightmares and hysteria.

Of course, none of these claims have been verified, nor even an attempt at it began, although some countryside people use the roots for various medicinal applications.

This herb, as with others, will probably never be proven one way or another. Big pharma isn’t interested in proving it because there’s very little profit for them in natural plant medicines, and otherwise, these herbs and their possible potential are only spread through word of mouth and administration by trained herbalists.

It’s interesting to wonder when these things started, and how they did or didn’t change through the years. Did they begin with the God of the Universe telling Adam and Eve after the fall, that some of their pain living in their new lives in a sin-filled world, could be alleviated by the use of created plants?

This is very likely, since He created them with these properties, but since the greedier-version of humanity took control, much of the knowledge was lost, so we will never know for sure in this life.

In the meantime, like all of His wonderful creation around us, let’s enjoy the sight and smell of our peonies and other plants.

Proverbs 17:22

A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.

We do know at least one tree that’s for healing during the millennium. We have God’s word on it:

Revelations 22:2 ~ ~ “On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”

GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 5 ~ ~ Job 42:3~ ~ “Who [is] he that hides counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered what I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.”

The number of different kinds of insects in the world seems almost endless. There are millions. The larva of many of these insects feed on trees and bushes at least until they develop into adults. One would think, then, that we wouldn’t have any trees left, since they are so unfairly outnumbered by such hordes.

But we also know from experience that the creation has been designed with careful and intricate balances. In this case, the many different kinds of trees each produce poisons in order to protect themselves from insects. But there is still balance, since insects, too, need to make a living. Not every insecticide produced by a tree is poisonous to every insect. So a tree’s insecticides simply limit the number of insects that can feed on it.

Some trees have pockets of gluey fluids that, when opened by insect mandibles, glue the insect’s mouth closed – a very effective way of keeping something from eating you! But most of the insecticides manufactured by trees involve subtle and complex chemistry. One poison fools the insect’s system into thinking that it is an essential amino acid – with fatal results.

Plant-produced insecticides have been harvested for garden and home use. Pryethrin is a combination of 6 flower-produced chemicals. Neem oil and powder is another well-used insecticide. Capsaicin is what gives peppers their spicy taste, and is a good insecticide also. But one of the best insect-deterrents is nicotine, from tobacco plants.

Many of these don’t actually directly kill the insects, but paralyze them, causing death indirectly. This works especially in the case of intestinal parasites, because they must then let loose of the intestinal wall.

We don’t know the tiniest percentage of the provisions in God’s creation. He has it perfectly balanced so one species won’t completely overwhelm another. It’s the balance that only He can control.

Another thing we don’t have an idea about is all the things in our lives that He has in perfect balance, and perfect timing. First, everything is perfectly timed and arranged within our bodies, as within every living thing He created.

But, also in our outward lives, He has everything perfectly notched together. The most frustrating things in a normal day can be saving our lives—or someone else’s. It would put us in a different place at a different time than we planned.

Have you ever driven past a tragic highway accident, and thought, “if we hadn’t had that flat tire a couple miles back, this could have been us.” And, you just may be right.

He is always watching where He can help us. He has a will for each of our lives, and His will WILL come about, even if we mess up. If we mess up, we will be paying the consequences for the detour our lives will take because of it, but nothing can thwart His will.

Have you thanked Him for this? Have you asked Him if you should do something before you make the decision?

In fact, have you REALLY given your life to Him? Is He REALLY your LORD? He must be all, and the ruler of our lives, or we will not have Him for eternity. He gave it all for us. Can we do less?

2 Chronicles 16:9 ~ ~ “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.”

Hebrews 13:5 ~ ~ “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!”

GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 4 ~ ~ Job 38:4-7 ~ ~

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding,
Who set its measurements? Since you know.
Or who stretched the measuring line over it?
On what were its bases sunk?
Or who laid its cornerstone,
When the morning stars sang together
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

While man make lots of things with wheels, bearings and a variety of moving devises, these things don’t offer good solutions to the problems most living things have to deal with in life. Wheels are useless for going through the jungle, climbing trees, flying or burrowing. Besides, these things need repair often. But God has made all things well.

For example, the skeletons of all mammals have a ratio of 30% shock-absorbing collagen to 70% calcium phosphate for strength. This ratio provides the very best balance for holding up a mammal’s weight during movement.

Engineers also know that in order to get the best flow of a liquid – such as blood – a pipe’s cubed radius must equal the sum of the cubed radii of each of its branches. And this is exactly the relationship found in all living and fossilized creatures, from sponges to humans!

The impressive engineering found in all living things – and even in the oldest fossils – shouldn’t be surprising to those of us who know the power, wisdom, and great love of our Lord God and Savior!!!

But, what about those who don’t know Him? What about the children (and young adults now) who, for years have been taught that the lie of evolution is THE truth? Must they be lost because they believe the great deception? Once they hear the lie, they immediately doubt the Truth of the Word of God. If they doubt it in one area, they will potentially doubt it in all. For example: If God didn’t create all things in six literal days, then why should they believe that there was an actual worldwide flood (which the evolutionary teachings also deny)? Why would they believe that Jesus actually died on the cross for us? (many say He didn’t actually die, and others say it was an imposter) And thus they wouldn’t believe the Resurrection. One deception multiplies quickly when we begin to doubt the Word of God. We need to tell people the Truth. We can start by checking our churches, and by telling people ourselves, handing out tracts….Ignorance is deadly. God said: in Hosea 4:6 ~

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”

Does your church believe in the True Word?

Or does it tweek, or add things to it?

Does it have other ways to be saved, like baptism, sacraments, good deeds, repeated prayers?

If so, you, nor anyone else, is going to hear the way of Salvation through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross—which is simply:

Salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 3 ~ ~ Jeremiah 31:3 ~ ~ “…“I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you out with kindness.”

In man’s way of thinking, a small animal – especially one that lives in the ocean – tends to be regarded as unimportant. However, in God’s view, all living things are His creation, and not one is ever unimportant. A good example is the smallest of the sea turtles. While most mature sea turtles weigh hundreds of pounds, the Kemp’s Ridley weighs only 60 to 100 pounds.

Because the eggs are prized by humans as well as by coastal creatures, the population of the Kemp’s Ridley is down to less than a thousand egg-laying females on a beach on the coast of Mexico.

However, just as God cares about the “least” of us, He will not ignore any of his creatures. He has given Kemp’s Ridley some advantages over other sea creatures. The female can lay fertile eggs for several years after she has mated just once. The hole she digs for her nest is 18 inches deep, and she may lay as many as 135 eggs at one time. Because He knew what they were going to be against, He prepared them ahead of time for survival.

Although Kemp’s Ridley was almost completely ignored and unknown to science, God has not treated them as unimportant, nor has He neglected to give this creature special gifts for its survival. Christians may be considered unimportant by the world’s standards, but God does not consider even one Christian as unimportant.

Luke 12:32 ~ ~ “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Ps 145:19 ~ ~ “He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He will also hear their cry for help and save them.”

Is 54:10 ~ ~ “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake,
But My favor will not be removed from you,
Nor will My covenant of peace be shaken,
Says the Lord who has compassion on you.”

Jer 32:41~ ~ “I will rejoice over them to do them good”

GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 2 ~ ~ Psalm 40:5
“Many, Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done,
And Your thoughts toward us;
There is no one to compare with You.
If I would declare and speak of them,
They would be too numerous to count.”

Proverbs 15:33 “The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom,
And before honor comes humility.”

While the brain weighs only three pounds, it can do the work of 1,000 super computers. It doesn’t need to be connected to a power source, and it doesn’t overheat because it is able to make its own electricity and it operates on only microvolts of power. If your brain’s 10 trillion cells were placed end to end, they would stretch for over 100,000 miles. Your brain has the capacity to store every word of every book on a bookshelf 500 miles long.

In order for the human brain to have evolved from a simpler brain in the time that evolutionists claim it has, the brain would have had to evolve millions of new cells every year for millions of years. A.R. Wallace, co discoverer with Charles Darwin of natural selection, once noted that there is a huge gulf between the human brain and that of the ape. Darwin recognized what Wallace’s argument did to their theory and responded, “I hope you have not murdered completely your own and my child.”

That was quite an admission—and yet, children are STILL being taught the lie.

God has given you a brain that has wonderful abilities. Don’t waste one of the greatest material gifts the Creator has given you.

This world system worships “intelligence” and worldly learning (what they tell you to learn only) as if it were a god. It is a god to them, and they are teaching it to the next generations, even creating artificial intelligence in order to program it for their purposes.

Evolution is a religion to them, because they want to eliminate God and His influence on the population so they can control the people. That is becoming more and more obvious, even to those who didn’t believe it before the “covid” debaucle. Every word of the Word of God is true. If we begin to doubt any, it will erode our lives. It’s ALL true, ALWAYS.

God’s Word is clear. These are the days of coming and greater evil. We have to train the next generation, and ourselves, to stay in the wisdom AND knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The human brain was created magnificently by our Creator, but if it is used just for worldly knowledge, and if it is captured by the lies of this evil world system, then it will work against us.

With facts and wisdom, and memory, we need understanding as to how to apply these things to life. We need to have the wisdom and knowledge of God to know what it really means to us, our families and the world as a whole. We need to have discernment to know what to accept and what to reject, since deception is as thick as paste in this world……..and twice as sticky!!!

“Understanding” is another way to say “discernment”. Over 20 verses in the Book of Proverbs alone speak of the dangers of having wisdom without understanding.(discernment)

Other verses in that book speak of the dangers of wisdom without discretion, humility, and knowledge,

being dangerous or foolish.

ONLY with the guidance from above can we apply our God-given wisdom in the right direction. Combine it with the Word of God and sincere prayer, and pray for discernment, and for the courage to stand strong to the lies that are so powerful today.

Proverbs 21:30 Amp. “There is no human wisdom or understanding Or counsel that can prevail against the Lord.”

Proverbs 19:8 Amp “ He who gains wisdom and good sense loves (preserves) his own soul;
He who keeps understanding will find good and prosper.”

Proverbs 17:24 “Wisdom is in the presence of one who has understanding,
But the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth”

Proverbs14:8 The wisdom of the sensible is to understand his way,
But the foolishness of fools is deceit.

GOD’S WORD FOR FEBRUARY 1 ~ ~ Job 12:8,13~ ~ “… or speak to the earth, and it shall teach you: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto you…. With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.”

In these days, with the gender confusion running rampant, and even now we have children barking like dogs, and identifying as chihuahua’s!!! Choose your gender AND your species!!!

Well, all that aside, there is a creature, who, in God’s great wisdom, really can identify and function as the opposite sex, as well as actually a different species!!!

There is a brightly colored fish called a wrasse. There are over 600 species, and they are found in all tropical or subtropical waters.

When biologists first started identifying them, they learned later that they had been identifying the females and males as two different species. So diverse the two groups were, that they don’t even look like they were related.

But as they did more research, they learned that the one species had all males, while the second species had all females. This got the biologists scratching their highly educated heads! Until they realized that they were one species.

But, wait!!! They next found that there was a third group! This one looked neither like the males, nor the females!!! (time to retire?)

And, to make matters worse, they found that schools around some small reefs had no young males. It seemed as if the males just appeared fully grown!!!! (yes, maybe it is time to retire!)

Or, they could work overtime and solve this great mystery. That’s what they did, and they found that when there is a shortage of males, one of the females will not only identify as, but actually turn into a fully functioning male!!!!

Talk about the Creator being way ahead of the rebels against Him!!!! There really is “no new thing under the sun.” Eccl 1:9

In Scripture, the word “understanding” often refers to a deep and detailed knowledge of how different things work together. The special and highly creative arrangements that God has provided for the wrasse are an excellent example of His understanding as well as the unlimited range of His imagination!

In our verse above, we are told to seek the wisdom, strength, counsel and understanding of the Lord.

He will give us that if we earnestly seek it. It’s all there in His Word, and when we’re saved, we have the Holy Spirit to guide us in understanding it.

James tells us how the Lord wants to give us wisdom: James 1:5

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

But that takes daily diligence. As the Word says in Isaiah 28:10

“For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:”
