ISAIAH CHAPTER 7, VS 14-25

ISAIAH CHAPTER 7, VS 14-25

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 7, VS 14-16

14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

15 Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 7, VS 14-16

14-16– Jesus Himself is the greatest sign of God’s love. His incarnation is the fabulous sign of God’s love, and we have Him right inside our hearts if we are true Christians.

God knew us before we were born also. Our lives were planned in every detail before we were conceived, just as Jesus’ was! That’s a lot of Love from God!! (Ps.139)

God is saying that before Jesus was of the age of reason, in His childhood, the enemies of David’s kingdom will lose their kingdoms. In Our lives, also, before we even came to know Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, God was preparing our lives and our circumstances for that moment.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 7, VS 17

17 The Lord shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 7, VS 17

v. 17– We are in days “that have not come”. Since Christ, the world changed drastically. No longer are all men spiritually dead—All who truly trust in Christ are alive, and yet we are in some of the most evil days, as men’s minds perceive the worst blasphemies and evils against the Lord.

Scripture: CHAPTER 7, VS 18-20

18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

19 And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.

20 In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 7, VS 18-20

v. 18-19– The Lord calls each of us individually. Though we’re small as flies and bees, yet He cares for and calls each of us to His love and purpose, and provides a place for us in His will. Egypt and Assyria are always types of the unbelieving world, from which we were called.

v. 20– (Heb. 4:12) “The Word of God is “sharper than a 2-edged sword.” God knows our hearts. He can separate our Spirit from our mind and emotions (soul) and mold our soul into what He wants us to be. He shaves off our cover-ups, worries, inferiority, doubt, depression, fear, etc., and uncovers our true spiritual value in Christ Jesus. (Jeremiah 48:37)He uses the things of this world (king of Assyria) to accomplish His will within us, to perfect our relationship with Him.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 7, VS 21-25

21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;

22 And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.

23 And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.

24 With arrows and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.

25 And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 7, VS 21-25

v. 21-22– We are to nourish the Fruits of the Spirit–keep our natural part subservient to our spirit and we will be in abundance of the great things of God. He will give us all that is in His will that we should have.

v. 23– But if we choose the natural to dominate us and live by the things of this world, choosing to create our own pathway instead of wanting the will of God, our mind and emotions will grow up in briars and weeds. We will be confused.

v. 24– When these weeds grow in us, they turn to strife, and if not corrected, to hatred, violence, etc.

v. 25– But when we let Jesus run His hoe (mattock) through our lives, He will plant a beautiful crop and we need not fear the weeds of sin, because we have the Best Gardner!!

END OF CHAPTER 7

ISAIAH CHAPTER 7, vs 1-13

ISAIAH CHAPTER 7, vs 1-13
SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 7, VS 1-7

1:And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.

2 And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.

3 Then said the Lord unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;

4 And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.

5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,

6 Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:

7 Thus saith the Lord God, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
APPLICATION: CHAPTER 7, VS 1-7

1-7- We, as Christians today, sometimes have people who disagree with us, talk about us, even verbally persecute us. Sometimes it even seems as in verse 5, that many others are in agreement against us, even Christians themselves. When this happens, its important to immediately go to the Lord and repent of anything we did wrong, that would give these people cause to come against us. We must ask the Lord to judge us in this situation and submit totally to that judgment. For, God will use others sometimes to wake us up to a fault or sin. Also, to make sure that whatever we are saying, teaching, or doing, lines up with Scripture as well as, to the best of our knowledge, what the Holy Spirit is telling us about the situation. If we have doubt, we need to change our route to line up with God’s. If we are sure it is of God, and we are obeying Him, then we can be sure He is with us, and what they say and do against His people will never stand.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 7, VS 8-9

For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.

9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 7, VS 8-9

  1. 8-9– Many times, even through powerfully established churches, satan will try to get peoples’ minds on doctrines, and foolish details, and off the Word and Power of God, because we can’t fight satan with church doctrines, and he knows it!

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 7, VS 10-13

10 Moreover the Lord spake again unto Ahaz, saying,

11 Ask thee a sign of the Lord thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.

12 But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the Lord.

13 And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 7, VS 10-13

10-13—We need to always be of the state of mind to seek the Lord’s guidance, and not the guidance of other people. We need to do it in reality for large decisions, and be so desirous of doing His will, that we know that He will guide us in daily things, as we keep our eyes on Him. We need to always want His will in our lives, and want our will and decisions to line up with His.

ISAIAH CHAPTER 6, VS 1-13

Scripture: CHAPTER 6, VS 1-2

1. In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 6, VS 1-2

  1. 1-2– The representation of the seraphims is this: the two wings they covered their eyes with means the Lord is all-seeing, He knows everything. The two with which they covered their feet represents His being all-present. He is everywhere at once, knowing all things.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 6, VS 3-4

3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 6, VS 3-4

v. 3-4– The “posts of the door moved at the voice of the angel praising the Lord.

Even at the mention of His Name, the great temple of heaven is moved! We cannot imagine His Greatness!!!

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 6, VS 5-7

5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 6, VS 5-7

VS. 5-7– The Lord anoints us the same way He anointed Isaiah. We are His prophets when walking in the light of the Spirit and though we are of unclean lips, when we repent and stay in obedience of Him, He will forgive us, cleanse us, and show us what to do and say, no matter what situation we are in. There is none too small, too minor for Him to notice, and no life is without a ministry within that life!!!

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 6, VS 8

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 6, VS 8

  1. 8– We should respond like Isaiah, and say the eternal “yes” to the requests of the Lord in our lives, no matter how small. When we obey, He will have more things to show us, and our relationship with Him will flourish!

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 6, VS 9-13

9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

12 And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a tall tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 6, VS 9-13

9-13– These times we live in are like this. Not only are there unbelievers whose eyes and ears are closed, but even some Christians are not understanding the eternally important things of God. Christian churches, as well as the world, are blind and slipping more and more into evil, but a tenth will stay with Him, and shall plant His Word in the earth for those of the world to see. The Holy Seed (Holy Spirit) is in every believer, as the seed is in the tree. It will be their decision to open their eyes or not.

END OF CHAPTER 6

ISAIAH, CHAPTER 5, VS 15-24

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 5, VS 15-17

15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:

16 But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 15-17

v. 15– God brings down the haughty and lofty who count on themselves to prosper.

v. 16– But in the end all will know that only God brings about good things!!

  1. 17–Then those who have humbled themselves and leaned on the Lord will feed on the lofty ones.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 5, VS 18-19

18 Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:

19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 18-19

v. 18-19—He warns against being drawn in and bound by sin. We must watch that we don’t think of ourselves better than others–even in our righteousness through Jesus Christ–and begin to tell God how to fulfill His plan. We are only to fit into that plan as He sees fit and only He knows. (Deut. 9:4 & 5)

We need to repent often, and fall on our faces before Almighty God in reverence, fear and obedience, submit to Him alone, and seek His wisdom.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 5, VS 20-24

20. Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:

23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 20-24

v. 20-24– It is easy to twist things around–especially when we listen to Satan who is the Father of Lies. We may think we’re doing right, but in fact, it is evil. Only through true fellowship with Jesus and resting in His guidance can we be sure of pleasing Him.

In the world and times we live in, evil is considered good, and good, evil, by the leadership of most nations and the world. We must stand firm on the only TRUTH. Justice will come in the end, for each of us, and the world as a whole. God will not be mocked, and those who turn things around will see a bad end! It is the responsibility of the Church to discern and pull away when we see these things, for judgment begins in the house of God.

ISAIAH, CHAPTER 5, VS 9-14

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 5, VS 9-12

9 In mine ears said the Lord of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.

10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.

11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them!

12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of his hands.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 9-12

9-12– Again, He warns against having our minds empty of Him and full of the things of this world, and not seeing Him in His creation.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 5, VS 13-14

13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 13-14

13-14– Satan can come in twisted ways, so we must get close to Jesus and the Father and walk in His ways and walk in the knowledge of the Word of God so we can discern the ways of Satan and fight him with the strength of the Word of God, and the Mighty Name of Jesus!

ISAIAH CHAPTER 5, VS 5-8

ISAIAH CHAPTER 5, VS 5-8

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 5, VS 5-6

5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:

6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 5-6

v ..5-6—God will allow Satan to trample anything that isn’t protected by the Armor of Christ. If we haven’t totally devoted our lives to Jesus Christ, and totally submitted to His Will in our lives, we are left without the protective wall that He wants to put around us. He will not force Himself on anyone, so, He will take away the protection from those who don’t accept Him totally.

SCRIPTURE CHAPTER 5, VS 7-8

7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 7-8

7– We are the vineyard of the Lord—grafted in to the vine of Israel. Are we good grapes or wild grapes? (Jeremiah 2:21-12:10)

v. 8– We shouldn’t be so busy with the things of this world, whether it be work or pleasure, that we don’t have time to pray, get into His Word, and spend quiet time listening for His voice and direction in our lives.

ISAIAH, CHAPTER 5, VS 1-4

ISAIAH CHAPTER 5, VS 1-4

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 5, VS 1-3

1.Now will I sing to my well beloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 1-3

v. 1-3– God made mankind, then sent His beloved Son to save us.

Jesus conquered Satan for us. In fact, He lived each of our lives for us. In the Garden, He sweat blood, and was in agony because He, God Almighty, became you and me. He lived my life–not as He would live it, or as it should be lived, but as I live it, and He saw my problems just as I see them–in my weakness and sinfulness.

Then He went to the cross and to Hell for my sins and to satan, and He conquered satan. So we have conquered all through Him.

Now we must ask Him to live our lives again. This time He lives it with us and helps us through all that He’s already lived for us once and conquered

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 5, VS 4

4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
APPLICATION: CHAPTER 5, VS 4

v. 4– What more, God asks, could He do for us? But still people aren’t grateful to Him and still think they’re responsible for their successes, and living in this world as if it were their final destiny. God’s people, living with the idols of the world, sowing “wild grapes” and ignoring The Holy Spirit’s calling to come to know Jesus in a closer, more pure and Sensitive way.

ISAIAH CHAPTER 4

ISAIAH CHAPTER 4

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 4, VS 1

1.And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 4, VS 1

  1. 1– The leaders of the various denominations will try to win the Christians again, saying, (although not in so many words) “you don’t have to really believe, just belong to our church so others will follow”.They will combine religions….defying the One True Christian Church, the Body of Christ, and turning to carnal, unsaved, teachings.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 4, VS 2

2 In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 4, VS 2

v. 2– The “branch” referred to here is His chosen people. His Spirit-filled Christians who, as Paul says, were grafted in place with the Jews. We will live guided by God’s Love and peace, and He will give us the fruits of the Spirit (See Romans 11: 17).

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 4, VS 3

3 Those who are left in Zion, who remain in Jerusalem, will be called holy, all who are recorded among the living in Jerusalem.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 4, VS 3

  1. 3– And those of His people who remain true to Him alone through this world, and through the Great Tribulation will be called Holy.(Rev. 7:14)

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 4, VS 4

4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 4, VS 4

v. 4– He will cleanse the churches of the influence of Satan and will make us one church with each person following the Lord, not men, and we will be one in Spirit.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 4, VS 5-6 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defense.

6.And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 4, VS 5-6

v. 5– The cloud of smoke and fire is with us now to guide us. It is the Holy Spirit that dwells within us, and is our guide, defender, counselor, lover,–everything we need.

v. 6– The tabernacle is Jesus. We rest in Him and He shelters us through the storms of life, and guides us through them, as He brings us closer to Him with the experiences, and gives strength and love to get through them as we lean on Him. See Ezek. 36:25-30 and 8-11; also Jeremiah 32:38-41 and 31:31-35 and (New Covenant) Ezek 37:26-28.

END OF CHAPTER 4

ISAIAH, CHAPTER 3, VS 17-26

ISAIAH, CHAPTER 3, VS 17-26

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 17-18

17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the

Lord will discover their secret parts.

18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 17-18
17-18– Cauls are hairnets–this represents churches and people — individually who are afraid to really let the Holy Sprit move in their lives, and let go to feel the joy and freedom of truly living for Christ. Their “round tires like the moon” make them go in circles and not grow in their relationship to Christ.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 19

19 The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 19

  1. 19– Chains, bracelets and mufflers–this represents the people and churches who tend to cover up with rituals, or Christian talk, but underneath they have not a true heart for the Lord.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 20

20 The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 20

  1. 20– Bonnets, headbands represent listening to others instead of the Lord. Church leaders telling the people what to think instead of encouraging them to go to the Lord themselves with everything. We should all fellowship together, and exchange our thoughts, and listen to ideas from pastors, etc., but the final decision has to be within ourselves, listening to the voice of the Lord within each of us, and the Written Word. The ornaments of the legs refers to slowing ourselves down in our walk with The Lord, and not being bold enough to speak out what He tells us. The earrings represent listening to what others say about us, instead of what Jesus wants from us, as well as listening to the “logic” of the world. We should strive to be loving and please others. This is important, but if they disapprove of us because they don’t understand the ways of the Spirit, we are to follow the True Voice—as long as we have TRULY repented before The Lord and Know FOR SURE that what we are doing is Biblical and True.

SCRIPTURE CHAPTER 3, VS 21

21 The rings, and nose jewels,

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 21

21– Depending on the society, rings on the finger or in the nose establish ownership or loyalty to someone or something. He does not want us so loyal to an individual denomination that we stifle our ability to hear His Voice.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 22

22 The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 22

Iv. 22– Changeable suits of apparel refers to being so shallow in our beliefs that we change with the times, fads, opinions of those we’re with, etc.–although God doesn’t want us to argue over church doctrine or details, but to question if it is for us individually to believe, and stand firm on what He tells us through the Spirit. All our beliefs, however, MUST line up with the Word of God.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 23

23 The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the veils.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 23

v. 23– Hoods and veils hinder the person’s sight–this refers to

closing one’s eyes to hearing God’s real Word, in our lives, and

believing that He really will guide us in our whole life. Sometimes we only let Him into part of our lives, and close our eyes to Him in the other areas. He requires us to be open to Him in every detail of our lives.

SCRIPTURE: CHAPTER 3, VS 24-26

24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.

26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.

APPLICATION: CHAPTER 3, VS 24-26
24-26– And when the Spirit of God comes in His fullness, people will see how they’re in bondage to themselves or their churches, where every “hair” was in place, and the pews full, and the people in perfect ritualistic discipline, there will be no one, and instead of the girdle (belt) of rules keeping everyone in line, there will be “rips” as each person is guided by the Spirit of the Lord and not by them, and people will see the organization of the church for how shallow it really is without the leading of the Spirit. The real beauty is in a personal relationship with Jesus.

END OF CHAPTER 3
